Connectivity AlternativesEurex Clearing provides clearing services for the Irish Stock Exchange. Euroclear UK & Ireland performs delivery management and settlement. Since Euroclear UK & Ireland performs delivery management and settlement, Irish Stock Exchange Clearing Members do not need a connection to the CCP system. However, a connection to the Eurex® system is required for risk management purposes. In order to provide Members with greater flexibility, we let our Members choose between several access alternatives to the Clearing House. Irish Stock Exchange Clearing Members may use the services of a Multi-Member Front-End Operator, as well as leased lines, internet connections, or a combination of both. If you are using a leased line connection, we require a back-up connection in order to ensure consistent and robust access to the market. The back-up connection must have the same bandwidth as the principal line and can also be an internet connection. Therefore, each Irish Stock Exchange Clearing Member is obliged to connect to the Clearing system (the Eurex® system) using at least (minimum requirement) one of the following alternatives:
If you already have existing connections to the Eurex derivatives trading environment, it is possible for you (if applicable) to use these connections for your Irish Stock Exchange Clearing License. In case you already have existing connections to the CCP and the Eurex Clearing systems, you do not need additional connections for your Irish Stock Exchange Clearing License. Besides, Eurex Clearing offers an additional service providing access to its "Enhanced Risk Solution" interface through which members can subscribe to risk-data (position and margin data) conveyed in real-time for derivatives and near real-time for other asset classes.          |
