Overview

As of August 30, 2010, the Eurex/KRX Link will give Eurex members direct access to KOSPI 200 Options, the most heavily traded options contract in the world. Eurex and the Korea Exchange (KRX) have entered into a cooperation to offer market participants trading and hedging opportunities for KOSPI 200 Options during core European and North American trading hours on the Eurex platform. The extension of trading hours and access to the KOSPI 200 Options through the Eurex platform aims at further increasing the liquidity of this contract.

Eurex will list daily futures on KOSPI 200 Options (the Eurex KOSPI Product). The product is set up and traded as a futures-style option in the Eurex® system. Legally the Eurex KOSPI Product is a futures contract which expires daily into a KOSPI 200 Option position at KRX prior to the KRX market opening.
