Fund Manager set-up

The Authorized Manager (Fund Manager) Solution allows a fund specific position account set-up in an operational efficient manner

  • Eurex Clearing has developed a legal approach for funds entering into a Clearing Agreement with Eurex Clearing which streamlines the on-boarding process and provides flexibility for an efficient position and collateral account set-up (RC set-up).
  • With the RC set-up, legally the Authorized Manager enters into an framework agreement (Clearing Agreement) with Eurex Clearing on behalf of each fund by simply listing all funds who will become the contractual partners (RCs) of Eurex Clearing. There is no need for each fund to sign individual legal agreements with Eurex Clearing.
  • Position set-up reflects positions and margins segregated at fund level. This is available for a GOSA or an ISA client.
  • Segregation is also possible as part of the existing omnibus set-up of a Clearing Member (i.e. collateral pool shared with other clients).
  • Reporting is consolidated on Fund Manager level with a breakdown on position account/Fund level.
  • Alternatively, an Authorized Manager can request to setup each individual fund as an SC by opening single position accounts per fund. Within that option no consolidated reporting on Fund Manager level is provided.
