Connectivity alternatives
Connectivity alternatives
Eurex Group gives Members the flexibility to choose how they connect to the clearing and settlement systems of Eurex Clearing. In order to meet client expectations with respect to innovative, reliable and cost-efficient technologies, Eurex Group offers various connection alternatives designed to meet the needs of all types of Participants to access our systems.
Eurex Clearing offers Members a variety of connection solutions. Clearing Members are required to connect to the clearing and settlement systems of Eurex Clearing via:
- Leased lines,
- Internet lines,
- A combination of both, or
- A Multi-Member-Service Operator.
Leased lines are provided and operated by Eurex Clearing. Clearing Members are responsible for ordering and maintaining their own Internet lines.
Connections to the clearing and settlement systems of Eurex Clearing are also available through an Internet-based service. Clearing Members are responsible for the establishment, transmission reliability and access to the Internet-based connection.
Eurex upgraded its network infrastructure in 2011 to provide Members with technical access through a Multi-Interface Channel (MIC). A MIC connection allows Trading Participants and Clearing Members to consolidate their connections to multiple interfaces. It is therefore possible to integrate the connection to interfaces provided by Eurex Clearing through a MIC.
